On the Auspicious day of Guddi Padwa, a Hindu New year Celebration at Shani Shingnapur. The Holy water of river Godavari also called as South Ganga is brought by people of Shani shingnapur and nearby walking a distance of 30 Km, bearfooted within a night from 12' O clock midnight without sitting or stopping anywhere to workship the beloved lord on the occasion of New year. The Maha aarti of Lord is at 12 noon when the lord Shani is workship by the holy water by the people, and the new year is celebrated by the people by offering food donations to the poor people.
